PROJECT Environmental Graphics // CLIENT Chevron
Working with iconic companies can be a challenge, but it's rewarding to see how you can extend a well-known brand in a totally new direction.
Chevron Conserves was an internal Chevron event held in 2008 for their employees in San Ramon, CA and Houston, TX. Chevron asked for graphics to dress the venue, which included backdrops, posters, and welcome banners.
My approach to this project was to show a softer side of the big oil company through beautiful imagery. This included art directing a photoshoot of compact florescent light bulbs photographed under soft, tinted lighting. Marrying the brand's look and feel system while creating work that felt fresh and engaging was a challenge I had to overcome. Chevron's Corporate Marketing Manager, Helen Clark, praised the work as the best design created for Chevron that year.
